A full copy of the submissions will be available for viewing from Friday 23 January 2015 at the following locations:

  • Westport Council office

  • Sue Thomson Casey Memorial Library
  • Buller Bay Information Centre
  • Karamea Resource & Information Centre

A copy of the submissions will be available on our website click here.

The public will be able to obtain a free CD containing all the public submissions from the Council offices should they wish. Should ratepayers wish to receive a printed copy, to recover actual photocopying costs Council will be charging an amount of $161 (GST Inclusive) for the 1347 page, two volume set of submissions.

We wish to thank all the residents and ratepayers for their effort and time in compiling their submissions and for their continued interest in this project.

Council will consider the rates submissions during February, in order that they can include a revised rating proposal for inclusion in the Council’s Draft Long Term Plan on 25 February 2015.

The Consultation Document for the Draft Long Term Plan is planned to be released in April 2015 and residents and ratepayers will have another opportunity to provide feedback on the rates model during this Long Term Plan consultation process.
