Water supply shutdown - Walsh Street, Reefton: 2 October 2025

The water main supplying Walsh Street between Shiel Street and Dick Streets, including small sections of Shiel, Buller and Dick Streets, will be shut down between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm on Thursday 2 October to complete the changeover to the new section of water main along Walsh Street (Buller Rd to Dick Street).

During this time, there will first be a period of no water, followed by a period of low water pressure while flushing of all new connections and fire hydrants in the area is carried out.

All affected residents will be contacted prior by mail drop.

Purpose: Connection of new water main and laterals to all properties
Start date: Thursday 2/10/2025
Backup date: Friday 3/10/2025 
Shutdown hours: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

This work is weather dependent.
