Road Closures - Little Wanganui Bridge on the Karamea Highway: 5 October - 11 December

The Little Wanganui Bridge on the Karamea Highway will be closed for bridge deck and guard rail repairs on the following dates:

A) 5 October - 11 December
Expect approximately 3-4 random, 20-minute closures daily between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm. This is to allow for movement of materials.
We advise allowing an extra 20 minutes travel time for your journey.
There will be no daytime closures during weekends; the works will take place Monday to Friday.

B) October 21, 22, 23, 27, 28 & 29, and 2-5 November
Full overnight closures, 9:00 pm - 5:00 am inclusive.

Variable messaging signs have been placed on the Karamea side of Little Wanganui and at the Mokihinui Bridge to notify road users of these works.

During the closures, there will be no detours available, but access for emergency services will be provided.
