Inspection of Rating Information Database

In terms of Section 28 of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002, Buller District Council advises the rating information database (RID) is available for inspection online through Council’s website.

The RID contains the valuation details, the classification for rating on a rateable property, and any targeted rates a property may be liable for but does not give any owner or ratepayer detail.

Any person who wishes to inspect the RID but is unable to access it online may contact Buller District Council for assistance.

Computers to access the website are also available during opening hours at:

• Council’s Westport office, 6-8 Brougham Street, Westport, at the Sue Thomson Casey Memorial Library, 89 Palmerston Street, Westport
  
  
• The Reefton Visitor and Service Centre, 67-69 Broadway, Reefton.

You can view current rates online via the rating database.
