Independent Directors - Buller Holdings Limited
Buller District Council is seeking expressions of interest from community-minded individuals to fill two Independent Director positions on the Board of Buller Holdings Limited.
Buller Holdings Limited is the parent company for council-owned commercial operations. Its purpose is to generate value for Buller ratepayers while supporting the wider community.
Buller District Council is the sole shareholder of the company. Its subsidiaries deliver a range of essential services including water services, civil construction and maintenance, parks and reserves management, and recreational facilities through the Pulse Energy Recreation Centre. These organisations contribute significantly to the social, environmental, and economic success of our district.
Serving as an Independent Director offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of Buller and make a meaningful difference to the communities we serve.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about the Buller District and committed to strong governance and community outcomes.
Essential skills for this role include strategic thinking and sound decision-making skills, strong communication and relationship management abilities, an understanding of governance principles and director responsibilities and the ability to identify opportunities and manage risk effectively.
You must have the existing legal right to work in New Zealand. Previous governance or board experience, a strong understanding of the Buller District and local communities and residence within the Buller District are desirable.
