About the 2021 – 2031 Long Term Plan

Council’s 2021 – 2031 Long Term Plan (LTP) will be implemented from 1 July 2021. It explains how Council intends to contribute to the community’s well-being over the 10-years covered by the plan. It also details the associated financial strategy and outlines how progress will be monitored. The LTP guides everything Council does.

How the LTP was created

During April – May 2021, Council released its Draft 2021-2031 Long Term Plan and Consultation Document (summary of the draft LTP) and invited feedback and comment by way of submissions. You can view the submissions that Council received by clicking on the links below.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to make a submission and help the Council plan for the social, cultural, environmental, and economic well-being of the Buller District. Council needs to make tough decisions, juggle competing priorities with limited resources, maintain focus on the ‘big picture’ and act for the good of the whole district. To achieve this complex task Councillors must have a clear direction from the community.
