Services we offer

Our friendly team at Reefton's 'one-stop-shop' offers a wide range of services and will assist you with a smile if you need a helping hand or have a question. If you are long standing local or a passing visitor, our door is open, and we are here to help you.

The service centre is your friendly first port of call if you are visiting Reefton, offering information on local attractions. The town’s gold rush in the 1860's helped to establish a rich heritage. You can walk through the Visitor Centre’s Replica Underground Mine, and check out the historical information and displays. There’s also local information on mountain biking, hiking and 4WD tracks.

The service centre is centrally located on Reefton’s main street. The service centre is equipped with disability friendly access and toilet facilities, and you will find plenty of parking opportunities close by. Have a stroll down the main street and explore the historic adventures and beauty that Reefton provides.

You can visit the Reefton Visitor Information page to find out more (www.reefton.co.nz).

An ATM (automatic money machine) is located at the Reefton Visitor and Service Centre.

The Reefton Visitor and Service Centre is open for visitor enquiries and visitor services Monday to Friday 9am – 4.30pm as well as Saturday 10am - 2pm.

Our knowledgeable staff will help you with a wide range of services, including building consents and LIM applications, rates payments, and dog registrations.

Check out our online portal where you can look up council records and make online payments.

The Inangahua Library is a bright, warm, and welcoming space for everybody to enjoy. There is a large range of books to borrow, and books can also be requested from Westport Library. Computers are available for public use along with free WiFi.

A variety of events are available at the library. For more information on what our library in Reefton is offering head to the library page.

The Service Centre team delivers a wide range of post-related services including sorting mail, processing courier deliveries, changing residential mail addresses, and putting temporary holds on mail delivery.

Staff are fully trained around all aspects of NZ Post and can assist with most post matters. We stock everything from pre-paid/plain envelopes, pre-paid bags, boxes to stamps, courier tickets and overseas postage.

For a complete overview of NZ Post products, services and requirements, visit the NZ Post website.

Offering Waka Kotahi/NZTA services forms another important part of the services offered. Staff are trained to assist with vehicle licencing needs, including changes of ownership and accepting payment for road user charges and vehicle licencing fees.
