Westport’s clocktower to light up purple in recognition of Epilepsy Day
The Clocktower Chambers in Palmerston Street will be bathed in purple light on Thursday, 26 March in support of Epilepsy NZ’s Purple Day.
This year is particularly significant, as the national organisation is celebrating ‘70 Years and Beyond’ - marking seven decades of supporting New Zealanders living with epilepsy and looking ahead to an even stronger future.
Group Manager Infrastructure Services Anthony Blom says: “Illuminating Westport’s clocktower is a meaningful way of showing our support for this cause and sparking community conversations – it's likely we all know someone affected by epilepsy.”
Please join council in acknowledging Epilepsy NZ’s longstanding support for people living with epilepsy, their families, whānau, and communities.
