Westport and Carters Beach Water Supply update

05 Mar 2025

The raw water reservoir level has gradually increased, remaining above 91% over the past week and is currently sitting at 98%.

While recent rainfall has slightly improved the intake flow, the increase has not been significant and is gradually declining, with the current intake at 63 L/s, which is just enough to meet water demand.

Given these conditions, the water conservation notice remains in effect for the Westport and Carters Beach Water Supply.

Council continues to monitor the situation closely and will consider lifting the conservation notice once the reservoir capacity stabilises and consistent rainfall is observed. Another update will be provided next week.

Council thanks the community for their cooperation in using water wisely and assisting to replenish the raw water reservoir.
