Water shutdown: West Disraeli Street 28/4/25

24 Apr 2025

! UPDATED 3:15 pm 28 April 2025

The planned work has turned out to be more extensive due to unforeseen issues with valve operations. The operations team is working hard to restore the water supply.

Water supply to the Bentham and Esplanade areas is expected to be reinstated by 3pm.

However, additional time is needed to complete the connection of the new pipeline on Disraeli Street.

At this stage, the shutdown period has been extended by an additional two hours, with full restoration expected by 5 pm. Please refer to the map below for the affected area.

Council apologises for the inconvenience caused and sincerely thanks residents for their patience and understanding.

! UPDATED 10:50 am 28 April 2025

Due to a faulty valve that cannot be fully closed, the contractor has had to extend the shutdown along the Esplanade from Hughes Place to Rintoul Street, adding an extra block to the original shutdown plan.

Please see below for the updated shutdown plan, with the additional block highlighted in yellow.

The rest of the shutdown area remains the same (orange highlight).
