Water shutdown - Adderley Street 10-11 April 2025

The water main on Adderley Street (affecting the blocks covering Rintoul Street to Lyndhurst Street) will be shut down on Thursday 10 April from 9:00 pm until 3:00 am on Friday 11 April.

This is to complete the switchover to the new Adderley Street water main between Brougham and Rintoul Street. 

This shutdown will affect major consumers along Adderley Street, so is scheduled to take place overnight. 

However, this work is highly weather-dependent. Council will keep affected consumers informed if there are any delays.

During this time, there will be a period of no water supply, followed by low water pressure while flushing is carried out on all new connections and fire hydrants in the area.
