UPDATE: Water supply shutdown update: Wednesday 10 September

The water trunk main livening works progressed very well yesterday, with the team being able to complete Tuesday and Thursday's tasks in the same time period under the same isolations.

This means that today, Wednesday 10 September, the team will complete the works planned for Friday 12 September ahead of schedule, as well as the work originally scheduled for today.

The properties affected by the change in work activities are detailed below:

Wednesday 10 September
9:00 am - 3:00 pm

A) Establish lateral connections from 131 to 141 Queen Street. Expect single property-by-property disruptions of up to 30 minutes per property.

B) Establish interconnections between the Disraeli Street West pipeline and the new Queen Street water main.

This will affect:

  • 10 Disraeli Street
  • 10a Disraeli Street
  • 10b Disraeli Street
  • 146 Disraeli Street
  • 145 Disraeli Street
  • 143 Disraeli Street
  • 13 Disraeli Street
  • 13a Disraeli Street
  • 144a Disraeli Street
  • 147 Russell Street
  • 148 Russell Street
  • 149 Russell Street
  • 151 Russell Street

Please note 148, 150, 152, and 154 Queen Street and 16 and 18 Disraeli Street will no longer be affected as described in the original notification.  

The contractor's staff will notify all additional properties affected today by door-knocking.
