UPDATE: Localised water supply disruptions: Domett Street - 3 September 2025
Residents across Westport are advised to expect short, localised disruptions to their water supply until Friday 5 September 2025 as new pipework for Stage 2 of the Westport drinking water trunk main is livened.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, today's shutdown area on Domett Street has had to be extended to include the properties marked by yellow stars on the map provided.
The shutdown period for these extra properties has been extended until 3 pm today.
The contractors have notified affected residents by door-knocking.
This will affect all properties on Domett Street between Abattoir Road and Eastons Road, see map provided.
Flushing and testing will follow the activities at each location to ensure the water supply has been restored.
The contractor TruLine Civil’s staff may need to enter your property to run your outside (garden) tap for a brief period to check water is flowing at each residence. They will clearly identify themselves on arrival
Updates will be provided here, on the BDC website and on Coast FM.
Council apologises for any inconvenience and thanks residents for their cooperation.
