Summer resealing: Westport township - from 18 January 2026

Residents of the Westport township and surrounding areas are advised that a summer road resealing programme will begin on 18 January 2026.

This work is being carried out by Buller District Council in conjunction with Fulton Hogan. The works are expected to continue until 25 January 2026, weather permitting.

Works will take place at the following locations between 7 pm - 7 am each day, outside of normal business hours to help to minimise disruptions.

• Palmerston Street from Lyndhurst Street (including the intersection), to and including the pedestrian crossing adjacent to the NBS Theatre
  
  
• Adderley St from Rintoul Street to Wakefield Street
  
  
• Mill Street/Derby Street intersection
  
  
• Mill Street/Domett Street intersection

Traffic management will be in place, and road users should expect time delays. Where possible, detours will be available.

If access to properties will be affected, residents will be notified in advance.
