Preliminary results for Buller’s 2025 local government elections live

The preliminary results for the Buller District Council elections held on Saturday 11 October 2025 have been released by Electionz.com are available on council’s website today.

Chief Executive Officer Simon Pickford says: “Special votes are still being processed. Due to the number of votes received, the release of final results may be delayed until Friday 17 October.”

The outcome of these elections may change once all votes have been counted.

The new council will be sworn in on Wednesday 29 October 2025 at the Clocktower Chambers in Westport.
