Precautionary boil water notice: Reefton

A precautionary Boil Water Notice has been issued for Reefton.

Council advises consumers to boil all drinking water and any water used for food preparation until further notice.

Boil tap water in your electric jug/kettle until it switches off automatically or bring it to a rolling boil in a pot for at least one minute before using.

This notice is a result of recent routine testing indicating contamination in a specific area of the reticulation. Further testing of the water supply is being carried out.

Council will advise when the boil water notice has been removed.

Reefton residents are asked to share this information with neighbours, friends and family.

Council apologises for any inconvenience and appreciates residents' cooperation during this time.
