Hokitika's Regent Theatre provides interim support for Buller Theatres
On behalf of the NBS Theatre and Reefton Cinema, Buller District Council wishes to advise of the resignation of Theatre Manager, Debbie Crackett.
Council acknowledges and thanks Debbie for her 15 years of dedicated service to BDC, and we wish her well as she moves on to her next endeavours.
Group Manager Community Services Krissy Trigg says: “To ensure a consistent level of business continuity, BDC is delighted to welcome Hayley Kirby, who will be guiding our theatres teams in an advisory capacity over the next three months, while continuing her role managing Hokitika’s Regent Theatre.”
Hayley brings with her a wealth of experience, having played a key role in transforming the Regent Theatre into the vibrant community venue it is today.
Hayley’s interim advisory role will be overseeing movie selection and scheduling, liaising with promotors for events, and booking shows, among other critical theatre and cinema tasks.
“Looking ahead, council will be reviewing the needs of our community and the future of our NBS Theatre and Reefton Cinema entertainment venues to ensure they continue to thrive as affordable and accessible spaces for individuals, groups and ratepayers.
“We acknowledge the contributions of our dedicated Theatres staff. Council remains focused on delivering venues that celebrate community spirit and provide lasting value for the region” concludes Ms Trigg.
