Essential Water Use Notice: Inangahua

The Essential Use Water Notice remains in place for Inangahua.

The Inangahua Junction reservoir is currently at 94% capacity, with the well pump still running at a minimal rate of 1.5 L/s.

A manual well level assessment has confirmed that the well level remains approximately three metres lower than normal operating levels. While the rainfall forecast remains minimal, even significant rainfall will take time to infiltrate and replenish the underground water source.

Council appreciates residents' efforts in conserving water over the past weekend. However, today's consumption has increased.

Council urges residents to continue essential water use only, avoid unattended outdoor water usage, and refrain from refilling water tanks.
