If you like reading, why not join the library if you’re not already a member? It’s simple as, all your mum or dad needs to do is fill out a form, we give you a library card and straightaway you have access to lots and lots of great books. At the moment we’re setting up a kids’ book club, so if you’re interested in having fun with other kids who love reading, contact Kate on 788 8030-2, or just pop into the library.

Great resources, excellent sites for homework or fun – it’s all here at the library!

For kids, the library is a treasure trove of all sorts of information and resources for kids’ homework, as well as some great DVDs and excellent stories. Whether you like J K Rowling, John Flanagan or Daisy Meadows, at the library you can find endless hours of reading fun. We have Asterix and Tintin, Anne of Green Gables, Geronimo Stilton, Thomas the Tank engine, pony stories, fairies, ballerinas and many, many more.

  • Whether you’re interested in vampires, fantasy, high school stories, romance, research, or just a great story, you’ll find something at the library

Whatever your age, we have awesome homework help with our online databases. Click on the following links to find information on geography, science and history help, to say nothing of politics, health and famous people., plus all sorts of classroom topics from The 1981 New Zealand Springbok Tour to disasters, recycling and World War II.

All of these can be accessed on our free computers, you just need to book. Or you can access them at home through the library website.

You can connect to the catalogue and when you have found the book you would like to review, click ‘Add your review”. You need a pin number on your card, and we can help with this. If there’s something you’re looking for and you can’t find it, you can make a suggestion that we buy it for the library.

Last but not least, don’t forget those cool stories on CD which make a long car journey or boring chores much more interesting! We have authors like Meg Cabot, Pete Johnson, Jacqueline Wilson and many more!
