Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan(PAMP)- Walking Access Plan

In June 2019, Council held workshops with the local community to help to develop a ‘Walking Action Plan’ for the Buller district.  The community was actively engaged in this project and as a result of the workshops and community feedback, the plan was developed.

The aim of the plan is to form the basis for investment to enhance the walking environment in the towns and townships within the district.  The walking action plan includes the prioritized routes based on the feedback received from residents including stakeholder workshops and annual plan submissions.  This is also supplemented with feedback from direct engagement with local residents and schools following the initial stakeholder workshops.  Site visits and road safety analysis also helped to inform the development of the action plan.
