Media Release – Buller Road Maintenance Contract 2020-2023 – Awarded to WestReef Services Ltd

Council’s road maintenance contract (the contract) expires on the 30 September 2020. As part of the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) approved procurement strategy Council staff have completed a robust tender process to renew the Contract.

The contract scope includes maintenance of roads and bridges within the Buller district. It will be effective from 1 October 2020 and has an initial contract term of three years. There are two rights of renewal of two years each, making a total maximum contract term of seven years. The rights of renewal are at the discretion of Council and based on performance.

Council chief executive Sharon Mason, Buller Holdings chief executive Craig Scanlon, WestReef general manager Dylan Taylor and roading manager Alan Neill and Councils coordinator roading Brian Murphy met yesterday to sign the contract between Council and Buller Holdings.
