Customer Satisfaction Survey 2023
If you have interacted with Council in the last 12 months we need to know how we did, what we could do better, and what already is pretty alright.
The Customer Satisfaction Survey runs from 1 – 31 March 2023.
Tell us about your customer experience with the Buller District Council and help us improve our service. You can also be in to win one of four $50 grocery vouchers (T&Cs apply).
An interaction can be anything from making an enquiry with a service centre to taking a book out at the library. It could be making a payment, attending a movie or show, applying for a consent or dealing with our staff around matters like waste, roading, water, drains, dogs, alcohol licensing or rates.
The survey will only take a few minutes and it helps us understand what it we are doing well and what could be done better.
Once the results have been analysed, the results will be reported to Council and shared with the community in May.

Why should you fill out the survey?
Don’t believe you had an interaction with Council?
An interaction can be anything from making an enquiry with our service centre, paying your rates or taking a book out at the library. It could be searching for information on Council’s website, attending a movie or show, applying for a consent, making a payment, or interacting with our staff around things like waste, roading, water, drains, dogs, alcohol licensing or rates.
Everyone who completes the survey will have the opportunity to enter the draw for one of four grocery vouchers valued at $50 each. The vouchers have been generously donated by Fresh Choice Westport and New World Westport.
How long will the survey take?
The survey will only take a few minutes to complete.
Yes. None of your answers will be shared with Council in a way that could identify you.
You can fill out the survey by clicking on this link or, if it’s easier, pick up a paper survey (and drop it off) at one of our any Council facilities in Westport and Reefton, as well as the Sue Thomson Casey Memorial Library in Westport, NBS Theatre, the DOC visitor centre in Punakaiki, the Karamea Information Centre and the Ngakawau Resource Centre.
The survey closes on 31 March 2023. Once the results have been analysed, the results will be reported to Council and the community in May 2023.
Prize draw - Terms and Conditions
The promotion commences at 9:01 am on Wednesday 1 March 2023 and closes at 11:59 pm on Friday 31 March 2023 (“Promotional Period”).
The prize draw will be conducted at 23 Carlyle Street, Christchurch on Tuesday 9 March 2023.
The prize must be claimed by no later than 5pm on Friday 18 December 2023. If the prize remains unclaimed, despite the promoter’s reasonable endeavours to contact the prize winner, the prize will be forfeited and the Promoter may conduct an unclaimed prize draw at the same place as the original prize draw on Monday 21 December 2023.”
