Buller Mayoral Relief Fund

The Buller Mayoral Relief Fund is making grants to individuals, families and organisations affected by the July 2021 and February 2022 Floods.

Pick up an application form from the Community Hub or the Council office or download the application forms below. Staff at the hub can help you fill in the form if you need assistance.

February 2022 Buller and Tasman Rural Mayoral Relief Fund for primary industry businesses

A Mayoral Rural Relief Fund has been established to assist farmers in the Buller and lower Tasman areas in their recovery following the February 2022 flooding event.

The Mayoral Rural Relief Fund is a joint fund across Tasman District Council and Buller District Council, administered by Buller District Council.

The fund has $140,000.00 available to distribute to Primary Industry Businesses which have been impacted by the February storm event.

If your farm suffered financial loss due to the February storm event you are invited and encouraged to apply to this fund before Friday 17th June using the attached form.

A special committee will meet to consider all applications. Applicants will then be advised of the outcome via email and payment will be made into the nominated bank account the following week.
