Freedom Camping in Buller

The Buller District Council adopted a Freedom Camping Control Bylaw in August 2012. The purpose of this bylaw is to specify the areas within the District where Freedom Camping is restricted and what those restrictions include to ensure that:

  • The areas are protected
  • The health and safety of people who may visit the areas is protected
  • Access to the areas is protected
